Hôm nay, chúng ta sẽ cùng nhau giải quyết một bài tập viết rất thú vị và quen thuộc trong chương trình lớp 9. Bài tập này không khó, nhưng để đạt điểm cao, các em cần trình bày ý tưởng một cách rõ ràng, sử dụng đúng thì và có vốn từ vựng phong phú.
Cô sẽ hướng dẫn các em từng bước chi tiết để hoàn thành bài viết này một cách tốt nhất nhé.
Bước 1: Phân tích yêu cầu và xác định thì của bài viết
Đề bài yêu cầu chúng ta viết về kỳ nghỉ yêu thích (favorite holiday). Đây là một sự kiện đã xảy ra trong quá khứ. Vì vậy, thì chính mà chúng ta cần sử dụng trong suốt bài viết là Thì Quá khứ đơn (Past Simple Tense). Các em hãy nhớ lại công thức của thì này nhé:
– Với động từ “to be”: S + was/were + …
– Với động từ thường: S + V2/V-ed + …
Các câu hỏi gợi ý chính là sườn bài mà chúng ta cần bám theo để phát triển ý.
Bước 2: Lên dàn ý và gợi ý từ vựng (Brainstorming & Vocabulary)
Chúng ta sẽ trả lời từng câu hỏi gợi ý để lấy ý tưởng và từ vựng cho bài viết. Cô sẽ chọn một ví dụ cụ thể là chuyến đi đến Vũng Tàu vào mùa hè năm ngoái nhé.
1. Where you went to? (Bạn đã đi đâu?)
– Địa điểm: Vung Tau city, a coastal city…
– Thời gian: last summer vacation, last year, two years ago…
– Đi với ai: with my family, with my best friends, with my classmates…
Ví dụ: Last summer, my family and I had a wonderful trip to Vung Tau city.
2. How you traveled? (Bạn đi bằng phương tiện gì?)
– Phương tiện: by car, by coach, by train, by motorbike…
– Cảm nhận về chuyến đi: comfortable (thoải mái), fast (nhanh), tiring (mệt mỏi), exciting (thú vị) because I could see the scenery (phong cảnh).
Ví dụ: We traveled there by car. The journey took about two hours.
3. Where you stayed? (Bạn đã ở đâu?)
– Nơi ở: in a hotel, in a resort, in a guesthouse, at a relative’s house…
– Mô tả nơi ở: big, small, comfortable, beautiful, near the beach, with a great view…
Ví dụ: We stayed in a lovely hotel near Back Beach (Bãi Sau).
4. How the weather was? (Thời tiết thế nào?)
– Từ vựng về thời tiết: sunny (nắng), hot (nóng), cool (mát mẻ), windy (nhiều gió), cloudy (nhiều mây), rainy (mưa).
– Cụm từ mô tả: The sun was shining all day. The weather was perfect for swimming.
Ví dụ: The weather was fantastic. It was sunny and windy most of the time.
5. What you liked and didn’t like? (Bạn thích và không thích điều gì?)
– Liked (Những điều thích):
+ Hoạt động: went swimming, built sandcastles, flew kites, visited the Christ of Vung Tau statue, took a lot of photos…
+ Đồ ăn: ate fresh seafood, tried local dishes… (delicious, fresh, tasty).
+ Con người: friendly, helpful, hospitable.
+ Cảnh vật: beautiful beaches, breathtaking views from the lighthouse.
Ví dụ: I really enjoyed swimming in the sea and eating fresh seafood. The people there were very friendly.
– Didn’t like (Những điều không thích):
+ Thời tiết: It was a bit too hot in the afternoon.
+ Giá cả: Some things were a little expensive.
+ Đông đúc: The beach was quite crowded on the weekend.
Ví dụ: However, one thing I didn’t like was that the beach was a bit crowded.
Bước 3: Viết bài hoàn chỉnh
Bây giờ, chúng ta sẽ kết nối các ý tưởng và từ vựng ở Bước 2 thành một đoạn văn hoàn chỉnh. Các em nhớ dùng các từ nối như “First”, “Then”, “After that”, “However”, “Overall” để bài văn mạch lạc hơn nhé.
BÀI VIẾT MẪU (SAMPLE ESSAY)
My favorite holiday was the trip to Vung Tau city with my family last summer. It was a memorable trip that I will never forget.
We decided to go there by car because it was convenient for my family. The journey took about two hours, and I felt very excited when I saw the sea from the car window. We stayed in a lovely hotel that had a great view of the beach. It was very comfortable and clean.
During our three-day trip, the weather was fantastic. It was sunny and warm all day, which was perfect for outdoor activities. In the morning, we went swimming and built sandcastles on the beach. In the afternoon, we visited some famous places like the Christ of Vung Tau statue. The view from the top was breathtaking! What I liked most was the food. We ate a lot of fresh and delicious seafood. The people there were also very kind and hospitable.
However, there was one thing I did not really like. It was a bit too hot at noon, so we had to stay inside the hotel. Also, some restaurants were quite expensive.
Overall, it was a wonderful trip. I had a great time with my family and learned many new things. I hope I will have a chance to visit Vung Tau city again in the future.

Sau khi viết xong, các em hãy dành vài phút để đọc lại bài của mình và kiểm tra các lỗi sau:
– Thì (Tense): Đã dùng đúng thì Quá khứ đơn cho toàn bộ bài chưa?
– Chính tả (Spelling): Có từ nào viết sai không? (ví dụ: “beautiful”, “delicious”).
– Ngữ pháp (Grammar): Cấu trúc câu đã đúng chưa? Chia động từ đúng chưa?
– Nội dung: Đã trả lời đủ 5 câu hỏi gợi ý của đề bài chưa?

I like watching movies, especially horror and action movies. I find myself a stronger person when I watch these films. There is another hobby that I really enjoy gathering with my friends for chatting. I like the Thailand and Chinese cuisines because they are tasty and spicy. Moreover, I enjoy myself by swimming and reading books when I am alone
