BƯỚC 1: PHÂN TÍCH YÊU CẦU ĐỀ BÀI
Đề bài yêu cầu em kể về một lễ hội mà em đã tham gia. Điều này có nghĩa là chúng ta sẽ sử dụng chủ yếu là thì quá khứ đơn (Simple Past) để kể lại các sự việc đã diễn ra.
Em cần trả lời 5 câu hỏi gợi ý:
1. Name of the festival: Tên lễ hội là gì?
2. Where?: Lễ hội diễn ra ở đâu?
3. When?: Lễ hội diễn ra khi nào?
4. What Activities?: Có những hoạt động gì?

BƯỚC 2: LÊN DÀN Ý CHI TIẾT (BRAINSTORMING)
Để bài viết dễ dàng hơn, chúng ta hãy chọn một lễ hội thật quen thuộc với học sinh Việt Nam. Cô gợi ý Tết Trung Thu (Mid-Autumn Festival) nhé. Bây giờ, mình cùng trả lời 5 câu hỏi trên cho lễ hội này.
* 1. Name: Mid-Autumn Festival.
* 2. Where: in my hometown / on the streets / at my school (ở quê em / trên đường phố / ở trường của em).

* Tên + Thời gian: Last year, I joined the Mid-Autumn Festival. (Năm ngoái, em đã tham gia Tết Trung Thu.)
* Địa điểm: It took place in my hometown. (Nó đã diễn ra ở quê em.)
* Hoạt động (kể lại nên dùng thì quá khứ):
* I watched lion dances with my friends. (Em đã xem múa lân với bạn bè.)
* We carried beautiful star-shaped lanterns. (Chúng em đã rước những chiếc đèn ông sao rất đẹp.)
* My family got together. We ate mooncakes and many kinds of fruits. (Gia đình em đã quây quần bên nhau. Chúng em đã ăn bánh trung thu và nhiều loại hoa quả.)
* The moon was very bright and round. (Mặt trăng rất sáng và tròn.)
* Cảm xúc: I felt very happy and excited. (Em đã cảm thấy rất vui và hào hứng.)
BƯỚC 4: VIẾT BÀI HOÀN CHỈNH (BÀI MẪU THAM KHẢO)
Bây giờ cô sẽ nối các câu trên lại thành một đoạn văn hoàn chỉnh. Em hãy đọc và tham khảo nhé.

Hello everyone.
Today I would like to tell you about a festival I joined. It is the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Last year, I joined this festival in my hometown. It took place on the 15th of August in the lunar calendar.
There were many interesting activities. First, I went to the town square to watch the lion dances. They were very exciting and colorful. Then, I walked around the streets with my friends. We carried beautiful lanterns. Mine was a star-shaped lantern. After that, I came back home and had a party with my family. We ate mooncakes and lots of different fruits under the full moon. My parents told me the story of Chú Cuội and the Moon Lady.
I felt very happy and excited. The Mid-Autumn Festival is a great time for family and children. It was a wonderful festival. I hope I can join it again this year.

A festival I will never forget is the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is one of the most important traditional festivals in Viet Nam. It takes place in September or in October. This year, it fell on October 1st. In the early morning of that day, my family went to my grandparents’ house. We often have a happy reunion on this day. At noon, my family and I ate mooncakes and fruits and drank tea together. After lunch, we watched TV and played games until late at night. The next day, we went back home and continued our normal life. Although the Mid-Autumn Festival only lasts for two days, it is a very interesting festival because of all the activities we can do during these two days. The Mid-Autumn Festival makes me feel happy every year because I can meet my relatives who live far away from us. Moreover, I can enjoy delicious food and play exciting games with them.

I always love the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. At night, children carry bright lanterns shaped like stars and fish. The streets fill with drumbeats and lion dances. After that, my family and I sit under a big tree. We eat mooncakes and drink jasmine tea. My grandparents tell the story of Chang’e. Under the full moon, I feel happy and close to my family.
